U.S. Universities and Colleges invite UAE students to study in the U.S.
February 5, 2009
The Embassy of the United States of America is pleased to announce that the American Education Expo returns to the UAE this year as one of the largest education fairs in the Middle East, beginning in Dubai on February 9th, 2009 at 6:00PM to 9:00PM in the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, and then visiting Abu Dhabi on February 10th at 6:00PM to 9:00PM at the Beach Rotana Hotel and Towers. Once again hosted by International Student Network, Inc. (ISN), and supported by the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of Commerce, the American Education Expo will connect hundreds of students with over 21 top American colleges and universities aimed at recruiting more Arab students to increase campus diversity.
In addition to the opportunity to network with U.S. admissions counselors face-to-face, the American Education Expo will also feature a Scholarship Fair hosted by 21 presenting universities. Students will learn about all the merit-based scholarship opportunities available to them. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their transcripts and TOEFL scores to determine scholarship eligibility.
The U.S. remains the world’s premier destination for international students seeking higher education. The U.S. currently hosts over 565,000 foreign students, a number higher than any other country in the world.
The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and U.S. Consulate General in Dubai will host an EducationUSA booth where students and parents can meet educational counselors and obtain information on our advising services and on applying for a student visa.
