Thunderbird Graduate School of Management

Twenty-five Executive MBA students from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona joined Ambassador Olson on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 for a discussion of the U.S.-UAE bilateral relationship and the importance of student and cultural exchange.

The students are one of two groups studying on two continents during the month of April.  Twenty-five students and faculty have come to the UAE, and a similar group is travelling to Russia.    Each group will study a formal course in Cross-Cultural Negotiations, and meet with local business and government leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges of working abroad.  This field seminar is the second of three within their MBA program. The first was to Geneva, Switzerland last November; the final one will be divided between China and Chile/Peru this coming September.

The group will visit both Abu Dhabi and Dubai to meet with Thunderbird alumni and local business and government leaders, and to visit one of Thunderbird's academic partners, Zayed University.

Thunderbird Graduate School of Management focuses exclusively on global business studies and was recently ranked first in international business by the Financial Times, U.S. News & World Report, and The Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive 2007 Business School Survey, More than 38,000 students have graduated from Thunderbird, and its alumni live and work in more than 140 countries.
