Seventeen Truman Scholars and their Emirati hosts, partivcipants in the Emirati-American Young Leaders Cultural Exchange program of the Emirates Foundation, joined Deputy Chief of Mission Douglas C Greene for a discussion of US-UAE bilateral relations, leadership and public service, and cultural exchange.

The Emirati-American Young Leaders Cultural Exchange is sponsored by the Emirates Foundation.  The group will visit Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain, Dubai, Fujairah and Sharjah to meet with leaders in business, culture, government, and society.

The Truman Scholars are recipients of scholarships from the President Harry S Truman Scholarship Foundation.  The Foundation's mission is to find and recognize college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the non-profit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in public service, and to provide them with financial support for graduate study, leadership training, and fellowship with other students who are committed to making a difference through public service.
