Council for International Schools and American Universities visit U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi
Fifteen universities from the Council for International Schools (CIS) visited the Embassy on April 15, 2009. The CIS Tour is currently visiting the MENA and Gulf Region, reaching out to schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, connecting students to higher education in the US and other countries.
Educational Advisor Rasha Ghannoum briefed admissions representatives and introduced them to personnel from the Scholarship Department of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and academic advisors and students from Emirates National School (ENS) and Choueifat International School.
The discussion tackled various topics of interest including conditional acceptance for English Language Programs, SAT and TOEFL scores. Participating universities included: Drake University; Chapman University; DePauw University; Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne;
European University – Barcelona; Hope College; Lynn University; Manhattanvile College;
Tilburg University; Vanderbilt University; Vassar College; University of Dayton; University of Karlsruhe; University of Tulsa; and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
