Seattle Trade Delegation Visits UAE
Over 85 American leaders from business, government and the community visited Abu Dhabi and Dubai through a study mission organized by the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle on Sunday, March 8. Ambassador Olson, speaking to the group at the start of their trip, discussed the increasingly close government and business relationship that has developed between the U.S. and the UAE, highlighting the fact that the UAE is now the largest market for US exports in the entire Middle East/North Africa region, with $15.7 billion in US exports in 2008.
