Emergency Travel and Urgent Business

Individuals needing U.S. visas for emergency travel or urgent business – such as a death in the family, to testify in a U.S. court or an unanticipated contract deadline – should first follow the guidelines in our General Instructions page.

If available appointment dates are not in time for emergency or urgent business travel, please contact the consular section directly and provide relevant information regarding your emergency or urgent need for travel. You can contact the consular section in two ways:

  1. Send a fax to +971-2-414-2241 or
  2. Email us at AbudhabiACS@state.gov

For either type of correspondence, the subject line should read, “EMERGENCY VISA APPOINTMENT REQUEST -- IMMEDIATE ATTENTION OF THE CONSUL.” Be sure to include specifics regarding the nature of the urgent travel, along with full contact information.

The Embassy will do its best to accommodate such requests within our regular business days and hours. Note that we cannot waive the basic application requirements -- fees, photographs, forms, etc.
