The American Center for Press and Cultural Affairs is the public affairs section of the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi. It conducts a full range of information and cultural programs: Fulbright Scholarships, International Visitor Program, educational advising, support for English language teaching, Information Resource Center, Arabic book translation program, U.S. Specialist Program, Washington File, and media support. The mission of the American Center is to promote understanding of U.S. policies, education, and society. To accomplish this mission, the American Center works closely with a wide variety of UAE groups and institutions, which include: media, universities and other educational organizations, NGOs, business organizations, and the government of the UAE.
